Live Search Cashback paying off for Microsoft Search
It's common knowledge on the web that Google continues to slowly and surely steal market share from both Yahoo and Microsoft, but as we've pointed out, just how well Google is doing really depends on whose metrics you look at. In our review of the past 18 months of data, we noticed that Hitwise showed that Microsoft's US search market share was on a slow decline. More recent data from the Experian company, however, which can take the effects of Live Search Cashback into account, shows that although Google continues to grow, and Yahoo continues to shrink, Microsoft's market share has stabilized a bit over the past three months.
