windows installer 4.5

This is my first, I am a novice-

I am trying to install windows installer 4.5-
I am running Home Prem, 32-bit processor, and have SP1 installed.
I have to download file KB942288-x4-x86.exe-
I get an error message " Not enough storage to process this command"

I have software that will not install, and was told to update the installer-

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!
