I have been successfully backing up my C drive to my D drive for months, but am now receiving messages that disk space is low on the D drive, and my backups are failing.
I am running Vista Home Premium, and have tried to reallocate space to the D drive by first shrinking the C drive ... however, when the 'Shrink Volume' command freed up space, the 'Expand Volume' command was unavailable for the D drive. 'Disk cleanup' was also unsuccessful.
Any suggestions for either freeing up space on the Recovery drive (D

, or for allocating more space? Is there a low risk way to delete prior (older) backups, and is there a right or wrong way to achieve this?
Any help would be appreciated!
