automated downloads from internet page

Hi everyone,

I'm the first time on this site and not sure, whether in this forum my question is well place or not. If not, please give me a hint and I'll place it where it belongs.

I'm searching a utility with which it is possible to automate a download from an internet page. On this page it is possible to download a daily newspaper by logging in and pressing a download button.

My plan is to automate this download in a way, that - when switching on the system - via autostart this utility gets started and downloads the actual version of the newspaper (pdf-file) on my pc. The directory, in which the file is downloaded, is part of an automatically synchronized directory tree. The synchronization is done between my pc and a handheld windows mobile 5.0 device.

Any hints how I can achieve this?
