Installing Updates

Am looking for some help to the following problem.
I am constantly getting an update for " Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .Net Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847)x86 ".
However for some reason this update keeps failing on my PC. As you may imagine i am getting rather frustrated by this.
Has anybody else met with this problem?
