Photo Story 3 on Vista Ultimate

On my XP machine I used Photo Story 3 for several projects. However, when I try to use it on Vista, it does not let me record naration. Nor does it play music I attach. Is there a solution to my problem? (I wish that Microsoft would upgrade Photo Story to be used on Vista and 7, because it is excellent software. I know that many people would be willing to pay for the upgrade.)
