user-profile service blocking login

after having enabled UAC (I leave it off by default) to solve a problem in vista updates (3 critical updates didn't apply appearently due to UAC having been disabled) and the restart to apply the critical updates the service user-profile service is blocking the possibility to log in (the only account on the pc)

detailed steps in how to solve the problem would be appreciated

first thing i would do is a system restore . if that dont work then boot into safe mode . that would inable the default admin . if that don't work do a reinstall of vista .
