taskbar problem

If my taskbar is set to autohide, it occasionally disappears. I cannot relate it to any particular action on my part. The only way I am able to restore it is to restart the PC. Questions:

1. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
2, Is there a key command that will restore the taskbar if hidden.

and yes, I am certain it is gone and not hidden.

What happens if you hit the flag key? Also check out Control pannel Taskbar and Start menu

I have found that one must open the task manager, go to processes, stop and restart explorer.exe. This will get the taskbar back. Windows posted an update that is supposed to fix this; however, I still have the problem on occasion, just as before. At least I can get back to those applications in the gutter without forcing a restart and losing everything that was not saved, which is what I was having to endure before. Some programs will not reopen if they are already opened and if minimized, you are just stuck.

First thing to do is right click on the Flag scroll down to properties and set it to lock the task bar uncheck the auto hide then it should be back . if you cant see it there then like on the last post go to control Panel then open the Taskbar and Start menu look on the top left Tasbar check the lock task bar uncheck autohide .then it should be back .
