Duplicate Bitlocker USB Password Drive
I have a laptop that has Bitlocker enabled and for which I saved the Bitlocker password on a USB drive. I would like to create a second USB drive with the Bitlocker password on it to have as a backup. (I have already discovered that I can't just copy/paste the password files from the original USB drive to a second drive. Actually, I could copy the files onto the USB drive—but the USB drive would not unlock the PC when Bitlocker locked down the hard drive—or at least it didn’t work for me.) If I go through the Bitlocker enable process on this laptop again: (1) will it affect anything saved on the PC (i.e., I want to be sure I don't lose any data or programs on the hard drive) and (2) will it create a password different from the first one (and, if so, is it possible to make 2 USB password drives--one right after the other--when enabling Bitlocker)? My goal is to have two USB Bitlocker password drives for the laptop--so I can have one as a backup. Thanks!
