Problems getting sound to 5.1

i have a genius SoundMaker Live 5.1 (also a Genius 5.1 speaker system) and it has a really simple setup, also the configure device from windows > sounds does not help, even if on tests it plays on all the speakers, when i play from winamp or any other software/game, my subwoofer and central speaker has no sound... only the rear speakers work .. so if anybody has an ideea on how to get this fixed ...
If i could at least get something similar to "speakers fill" option ...
Any help or idea would be appreciated..
