32bit disk installed as 64 bit
Good ole MS.Answer this one. I have a new Dell 1525 laptop  with vista basic 32 bit installed. I hate all that dell crap that slows down computer preformance, so I wasted $219 for the ultimate upgrade 32 bit. I put the upgrade disk in while running windows to do a custom install to wipe the HD of all that dell crap. Guess what happens, window pops up and tells me I cant upgrade this version of windows with this disk. So I boot from the upgrade disk, install a trial, then upgade it from within itself. Now windows is very fast, and is reported as 64 bit instillation. Answer me this, believe me I am not complaining, how could this happen??? |
