Takes so long on boot...green bar take forever

I'm going to start off with my specs
WD 500GB with 350GB free
4GB DDR2 800
Athlon 64x2 6000+
Geforce 9800 1GB XLR-8 Edition
Ultra 800w power supply

Ok, when I first installed Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit, the load time took maybe 5 sec where the green bar goes from left to right. From then to now I have only installed 3 games and now it takes approx. 3-4mins to get past the green bar then everything is fast again. I have gone through msconfig and unchecked almost everything and on the services section too and still the same problem. What gives?

I would recommend also using a registry cleaner to clean up any last bits of info in your registry. While you may have deleted various applications over time, there may well be some small bits of info in your boot-up script that is no longer associated with any application you have on your system. While thihs may not completely resolve your boot-up time, you at least have eliminated one other area of concern - a dirty registry. I use Registry Mechanic by PC Tools.

I am actually using the same program still same thing. Still takes about 3-5mins on boot and green bar. I have done everything from defrag to virus scan to reg clean to temporary files deleted to no startup programs or services non essential. Any help would be great!!!
