Start up problem, everytime

Running Vista Ultimate service pk 1.

Everytime the pc boots up, it acts like it's the first time. Media player has no data and wants to populate, explorer asks questions about what settings i want, Outlook...got to set it up each time... Whats happening??? Pls help.
