Vista Home Premium 64bit to Ultimate64bit

I know this question has been posted all over the place and in this fourm, but I haven't seen it asked like this.

I just bought a Dell with Vista Home Premium 64bit. I previously built my last computer and bought Vista Ultimate 64bit.

When I try to install it, the upgrade option is greyed out. Is that because Home premium is an OEM version??

So are you trying to go from Ultimate to Premium? If you are you cannot downgrade operating systems. But if you are going from Premium to Ultimate it is because it is OEM. I have the same "problem" as you, but generally I just reformat anyways. I reformat my computer every 3-4 months.
