USB Flash Drive Issues

I am using Vista Ultimate and I am able to use USB Flash cards but My Computer lists them as tape drives and it does not list the safely remove option when you right click on it. Otherwise it treats the USB key as a USB key. It is not a big deal but it is annoying. Does anyone have any suggestions?
