Vista Ultimate Photo Gallery Issue

On a laptop running Vista Ultimate (all updates curent and MS Office 2007 (all updates current) with 4 GB RAM, I receive an error message "unable to display file format not supported or you don't have latest updates to Photo Gallery" when I try to open a TIFF.

Anyone else with this issue? Solution? (Search of this form revealed no results)

• Are you able to open up this file in another application?
  
• Are you able to open up other TIFF flies with Photo Gallery?

If you can there may be a problem with the image file itself.

• Do you have any issues opening other files with Photo Gallery?
