getting vista ultimate to recognize external monitor
i'm new to this and not fully sure if i should put this here.
well anyways i'm trying to get my laptop to read an external monitor input. and it wont. some guy did it for me but wouldnt show me.
i right click on the desktop and click personalize button
then when window opens he said go to display settings and from there i'm lost.
under the area you can push and it drops a list of the two monitors one says default and the other says generic pnp monitor. and after both of those follows my video card name and such
when he did it for me both monitors were saying generic pnp monitor.
if any one could give me some help on this i would be very grateful
