Vista Network Connection Icon always with red X
Goodmorning and trust the all in the US and all US citizens abroad had a great Thanksgiving.
The Network Connection Icon on my PC now always shows a red X even when I am connected and on line. Can someone please help.
I have a Dell Inspiron with a Vista Ultimate. I only have one connection and thats a modem line (I live in the country in France more than 15 kilometers from a Broadband station - in 2009 will have a fibre optic - so now am on slow mail) I have no netwirk and the only other device connected is the printer - also a Dell. I have had the system 11 months but only in the last 3 weeks has the system persisted with the red x on the Icon even when connectd. I cant find a solution to this one. Only thing I do find is Microsoft KB 945925 that says you have to live with it !! But thatas I think from late 2007. I would appreciate any help.
Many thanks
R.
