K i will look into it... Thanks for the info...
But as i observed i got more info about the problem..
If the hibenate option is enabled then none of the three viz. hibernate, sleep or stand by works...
But if the hibernate option is disabled then stand by and sleep works well..Any reason for this...

I had the same problem on my hp laptop, a dv9168cl, 3gig of ram intel 2 processor, i think its caused by a virus, but im sorry to say i cant say for sure however after i ran trend micro internet security and finally removed a trojan it no longer continued to drop out of hibernation, it happened twice to me, but im not sure it was the same trojan however after removing the virus i havent had the problmen again, hopefully this helps.
