enable ACPI after installation

I installed Vista with ACPI swicthed off in BIOS (forgot to check before installing). Vista installed ok . I tried enabling ACPI in BIOS but Vista crashes with BSOD when loading. Once I switch ACPI back off, Vista loads ok. I wonder if it is possible to re-enable ACPI in BIOS and have Vista load ok without reinstalling Vista ?
