MPEG Don't play in Media Player 11

I have some MPEG files that play fine in WMP11. However, I also have a lot of MPEG files that the video plays for about 1 second and then the video freezes but the the audio continues playing. I have tried insalling and uninstalling COEDC's and DirectX 9.0c. Nothing has fixed this problem. The sames files play fine on my XP WMP but will not play in VISTA. Any ideas?
