Virtual Disk problems

Hi all,

I've recently upgraded to Vista Ultimate and have been having problems with the Virtual disk service and the Volume shadow copy on the local disk.
The problem did not emerge straight away, but has only happened tonight, (after working well for the past couple of days since upgrading).

When I go into the "services" area I notice they are both selected to run "manually", however when I click on "Start", it comes back with an error message saying, "Error 3: The system could not find the path specified".

I noticed the problem when trying to load the Control panel. The box would open but would remain blank, with no icons were being displayed.

Is this a known issue with Vista and does anyone know of a fix??
