Backup Files Worked by Can't Access Files?

I did a complete backup of all files on my computer's drive to a network drive - no problem, but took about 20 hours as expected. I tested the backup by restoring one file, that worked fine too.

But I am uneasy trusting a backup that I can not verify. When I go to the folder where the backup is probably stored I get the following message:

"File is not accessible."

When I place my mouse over the folder I see the following spooky message:

"Folder is Empty"

Quesitons

1) How would a person verify that the backup is complete?
2) Is there a way to view the backuped up files (directly and/or indirectly)?

Hi Ron,

one thing to try is run Windows Explorer by RightClicking on the Icon and select Run As Administrator. See if there is any difference with the folder.

You may also be looking in a Shadow Copy folder.

I doubt if you will see a list of the files backed up as they would more than likely be in some sort of image format.

I say once you can restore a few different files from different folders you should be ok as this has verified the backup.
