Missing DLL - MSVBVM60 - How do I replace?
I've included the full DLL message below. It comes up in a small window when I start Vista. The problem surfaced recently, after I suffered a partial system glitch, which looked to me like a hard disc corruption fault but may not have been [when doing a disc check just afterwards, there were some messages saying that repairs had taken place, but I can't give precise info on this].

Cannot find import; DLL may be missing, corrupt, or wrong version File "MSVBVM60.DLL", error 998

The message also shows when I try and start two PC Tools programs: Register Mechanic and Privacy Guardian, but not their Spyware Doctor. PC Tools have not responded to my query. Because the message comes up on boot, I wondered if it was generic.

What have I done so far, apart from asking PC Tools? I've searched the web including Microsoft's sites. Very little seems to be available, but from the MS site, I deduce that this dll is apparently not available for download for Vista - so I'm wary about just downloading and installing it in case this doesn't does more damage.

I run Vista Ultimate on a Dell Vostro 1700.

Any help much appreciated. I'm not an expert.
Malcolm
