import of mail from windows mail to outlook

Totally new to Vista. I have succesfully transferred all my messages from my old laptop - Out look express (XP) to new laptop - Windows Mail (Vista). However I cannot get the last 3 months emails to import from Windows Mail into Outlook, I have tried it 3 times, but it always stops at messages after 2/3/08. I'm no computer whiz, so if anyone could help me complete the process I'd be grateful. Thanks
