NTFS corruption?
Hey I have an odd problem.
I copied about 120gb of files from another computer onto a new Vista computer through our network- all seemed well.
I then moved the files from the Vista users shared folder to the My Documents folder.
The status box came up and finished, I then went to look at the files but nothing was there. (There was also nothing in the recycle bin so I did not delete them.)
Confused, I searched for the files. I can "search everywhere" and see their path is C://..., I can even see all of my files, and my disk space still shows their on the disk. However, when I try to open any of the results, I get an unavailable error. I cannot even type in the path of any of the results.
Does anyone have a clue as to whats happening?
