Windows Media Centre 80040155 error

Hi All,

Please be patient I am a newbie. Below I have detailed the history leading up to the media centre error. Not sure if the below problems are linked or if they are seperate.

Recently I had a problem after (I think) a Windows update where I was unable to see either of the CD/RW drives on my machine they had gone from 'MyComputer' C drive was there but the 2 CD/RW Drives D and E vanished. I managed to get a fix for this which appeared to solved the problem.

Now when I double left click on my D Drive I get 'application not found' and on the E drive when I double left click it says 'Windows cannot access the specified device, path,or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access them'. What does this mean?

If I go into the Media Centre I get an 80040155 error and am unable to play any of my CD's and I can't play any CD's from the the CD/RW drives either. Although I can install software from these and play music in the media player. It just appears to be the Medai Centre with the problem. Has anyone got any ideas.
