Vista can't delete Novell dragndrop shortcut
Vista Ultimate. While using Novell Groupwise, I accidentally drag & dropped a shortcut to an email message on my desktop. When I try to delete it, nothing happens. If I right-click and try to look at properties, nothing opens. If I click the shortcut, my computer prompts for my password to open Novell.
I have tried F5 screen refresh- nothing.
I have tried booting to safe mode and deleting- nothing.
I have tried system restore- nothing.
I have tried adding "Take ownership" to my registry and then "Shift-right clicking". I have "Take ownership" as an option, but if I click it I get a blank command prompt that just sits there.
Any suggestions as to what else to try?
