vista install issue EVGA 780i

Hi All,

When I try to install Vista 64 on my RAID 0 EVGA 780i mobo I get to about 20% uncompressed and then blue screen error. I tried to install the drivers in the install sequence, but that seems to have made the error worse.

Should I install the 64 drivers during the first install? The CD said to install the RAID drivers after the OS. This is not like when I installed the RAID i winxp

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I think Its because you are trying to install vista with 4GB RAM on an nforce board especially.

Install with 2GB, update with hotfix which can be found here:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929777

Turn off, DO NOT RESTART. Then add the other 2GB and hey presto! It should work.
