I created a D: partition in my notebook to store data and separate it from the program files on the C: drive.
I wanted to move the folder from my personal folder (Jeff-V1400) to D:
I went into the personal folder, clicked on the Document folder, selected Properties wnet into the Location window, selected the Move command and set D: as the new location for my document folder. I repeated this for Pictures etc.
the proble is that I was supposed to create the folder Document etc in D: this seems counter intuitive to me but anyway now I have a problem as my personal folder is not working properly and show 9 D: icons, when I click on My Documents, it shows a message :
"C:\Users\Jeff-V1400\My Documents is not accessible
Access is denied"
and all sort of other problems in viewing my files.
How to recover from the mistake which I made when moving the location of folders from my personal folder ?
How to get the Personal folder to regain its original appearance, have all the icons it originally had and make it work properly?
Regards
CyberJeff
