Recorded TV no longer plays

I updated my system to a faster processor w/HT and now I can't play my recorded tv shows. If I put the old processor back in, the tv shows play again. The message I get is Video Error, the files needed to display video are not working or are not installed. Please restart media center or restart the computer. Has anyone seen this before?

You have never said what kind of processor you changed from and too. My thought is that when you change the processor that its throwing a flag up in the system as being tampered with. Also the other question is does one processor carry a differnt set of multimedia instructions.
