Well, you can go to the (computer brand) web site in support and download the sound AND video drivers for your system, like I did, when my sound stopped working. Some things are just too simple. I have a (0ne month old) HP Laptop, running Vista Ultimate X64 bit. Make sure you are running the correct driver, specific to BOTH the PC and the type of sound and video. This matters 100%. I no longer have a sound problem. Yes, it was the incorrect video driver, conflicting with the sound recourses. Hope to have been some help for you.

Having serious problems with ultimate, can't get my audio applications to run correctly in the 64bit system, is there any way to simulate a 32bit system, revert ultimate 64 to 32bit or should I just install XP, need help, my laptop came with a factory installed ultimate package and now my thousand dollar software programs are useless... HELP
