Vista 64 bit doesn't let me connect to sharepoint
I am unable to creat a link to share point services to read and save data from applications. I am able to connect the share point with HTTP and a browser but this is far short of what I was able to do with XP. The OS has support for doing this. Below are the steps that I'm using to connect but not the server address, user id or password. If anyone has a clue please pass it along. I realy need this capability.
PROCEDURE:
click on Start
right click “Computer”
left click “Map Network Drive…”
left click “different user name.” Enter the user id and password I supplied to you.
Left click on “OK”
Left click on “Connect to a web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures.”
Left click on “NEXT”
Left click on “Choose a custom network location”
Left click on “NEXT”
In the Internet or address combo box type “http://<<server address>>/”
Left click on “NEXT”
I get an error: “The folder you entered does not appear to be valid. Please choose another.”
I have been doing this for over a year with XP and no issues.
