Hi djukica,

please can you ensure that you have the latest Firmware for your DVD burner using the Philips Intelligent Agent see here for more info.... www.philips.com/storageupdates - Updates for your Philips Storage Products
Update to the latest and reboot if you do not.

Also if you have another pc, try swap it and see if it works. You may well have a faulty unit,

regards

Steve

..already tried updating firmware, deleting filters, checking DMA, reinstalling IDE channel..

..the problem with the firmware is that i have the latest firmware but that firmware is not Vista compatible it was last updated before Vista was released..

Hi djukica,
yes indeed. Your DVR RW is incopatable with Vista. You will have to wait until Philips release a driver for Vista or you may send it back to who you bought it from.

from......

PC OS: Windows« XP, 2000, ME, 98SE
The only workaround I could even offer is to run any DVD RW software as Administrator and as an XP application, if this doesnt work then downgrade the firmware and try again ( BE WARNED YOUR WARRANTY MAY BECOME INVALID WHEN THE FIRMWARE IS DOWNGRADED)

hope this helps,
regards

Steve
