my font had gone into code! help!
hi, i'm not sure how many of you are still here since we've got windows 7 now but i'm hoping someone can help, my font on my desktop had changed into some sort of coded lettering and i cannot read a thing, even my user name is coded,it's a series of squares crosses half moon shapes question marks pyramids etc, everything still works fine but i cannot read what anything is.
i've been using my laptop with vista to click on what i think i need to do then counting out the icons on the desktop to click on the right things to try to reset the font but its getting frustrating, does anyone have any idea what i would do to change the font back to a readable state,it wouldn't be so bad if it had changed language to french or something with letters as i could decipher them!
it went like this about two years ago and i simply installed another drive and installed xp but now i've let my little lad have the gaming computer for his birthday and need to use the xp drive for my business needs so reinstalled the vista drive.
please help.
Dan
