vista changes date format on start up

Hi I want mm/dd/yyyy as my default date format. I set it to be this way using the control panel and settign the format to be the way I want. Every time it reboots it sets the format to be dd/mm/yyyy. I can change it back to mm/dd/yyyy via the control panel, date format setting.
But it is annoying. especially when printing quicken checks and looking at the registry.
any ideas on how to make the format stick, or what software may be changing it?

hi just wondering if you are still having this problem. Is this a home computer or on a company/server deployed network, Have you checked if you are using a "real profile" or are you login under a guest profile?
