Complete PC backup - how to backup
Hello,
I've searched the forum and I still cannot find the answer to my question. I really do apologize if it has been answered...
I have vista ultimate edition and I created a complete PC backup that I have used several times to restore after bit rot 
When I created the backup, I stored it on my hard drive (on my data partition). What I want to do is copy the "image" to an external hard drive so that I can take it offsite. The problem is that I cannot seem to copy the entire folder (even with admin rights).
My question is, what files do I really need? I see a backup folder with 9 .xml files and one VHD. I also have another folder called catelog and another single file called MediaId. Can I just copy the .vhd file to the external drive?
My ultimate goal is to be able to recover from a hard disk failure.
