Profile corrupted?
Please can anyone help!I am on Vista Home Premium with Mcafee installed.I could not install Mcafee Virtual Technician so contacted them.They took remote control for me.I am 63 and NOT computer literate! They tried to install it ,with no result.They then set up a test account and were able to instalMVT,and then gave me back control of my comp.MVT wouldn't work so I rang them again and they again took control.
Was then told that they were sure a windows update had 'corrupted' my profile and I had to contact Microsoft.All this took nearly 5 hours.Have phoned Microsoft this morning and the cost is £1.50 per minute.Can't afford this ,so has anybody got any ideas what I can do now.
