Error Code 80017AA7

I have Vista Home Premium-Dell Inspiron 531 - AMD AthlonX2Dual Core Premium 32 bit processor. I have been trying to update Windows several times, I keep getting the error code 80017AA7. I can't find anything on Windows--can't understand how an error code can have a number, but no info??? Has anyone else had this problem?
