Please help, very Important
Ok I will try and keep it as short as possible. I accidentally deleted the windows vista partition ( don’t ask how ), I found a windows any time upgrade disc lying around and used it to reinstall windows vista home premium. Everything loaded fine, I verified windows OK but when I tried to install any service packs or major updates it came up with error 50200053 ( I think this is a verification error although windows said it is verified)
Thats not all, I am unable to install ANY program downloaded and when I try and download the service packs manually it comes up with another error, " self extracting stub has stopped working". Any program or setup.exe file I run I get the error "program name" has stopped working. I have No idea what to do.
If anybody can help, anything at all would mean a great deal. Thank you for your time.
