service control manager issue

For the past few months I have come across Event log ID 7024
relating to the (service control manager) on my Vista Home Premium
computer. It is a HP pavilion lap top. I have been trying to figure
out how to go about fixing this issue and what is causing it to happen.

If anyone has any ideas has to what I need to do I would very
grateful. I try to keep my computer up to date and in good working
order as best I can.
