ERROR MESSAGE PROBLEM: winzip.exe is not a valid Win32 application

Have been trying to install Foxit Reader. Have Vista Home Premium 32 and keep getting the same error message (see following screen shots):

I had Foxit Reader installed on this computer before (while also using Vista Home Premium) but had a hard drive crash in December and put in a new hard drive and then re-installed Vista Home Premium using restore disks. Know for certain that it is Vista Home Premium 32 I am using.

The Foxit Reader forum admnistrators confirmed I was using the correct version, then suggested that I had a malfuntion in my operating system. I am unable to use Adobe Acrobat (even though it installed with Vista Home Premium and was on this computer when I bought it) because there are “known compatibility issues” which MS says they have not figured out.

Foxit Reader worked great when I had it on before, but now I am stuck not being able to read important PDF documents and it has really put some real big crimps in my work and life. Can anyone please help me? Thanks in advance.

Don't worry, alphao26. The most likely reason for the error message is that the downloads were corrupt. Download the installation packages once again and run them.

What is the internet connection speed available to you? Ensure that the packages are fully downloaded without interruption.
