Problem with External HDD being recognized on Vista Home Premium
Hey guys, I'm having a problem setting up an external on my fiances computer. I recently got a brand new 500G Western Digital HDD and went out and bought a rocketfish external case for it at best buy. I went into the tool where you had to format the drive but forgot to do a quick format and closed it before it could finish the long one to start over and do a quick format. The problem i'm having now is the HDD isn't recognized in Computer and every time I try to go to the management tool to try and quick format it the Drive isn't even listed anymore.
I tried formatting this external on my windows 7 machine and it worked fine. I formatted using NTFS and the drive showed up immediately in 7. Did I screw up when I canceled the format? I know this is a lot of info and sorry if it's confusing but any help would be much appreciated.
