This usually is the issue of your browser that does not have all its defaults.

Start > Default Programs > Set Your Default programs > left column, click your main browser ( if you have 2 ) > does it say " This program has all its defaults " ?
If no, click Choose Defaults for this Program > checkmarks on ALL the entries under the list > Save
