Javascript problem

I am currently trying to run a few pages with javascripts on them.

The problem is that when I load them, nothing happens. I'm not sure if this is a Vista, IE8 or jscript.dll problem though.

I've tried to unregister the dll and then re-register it in a command window running as administrator. I continue to get the same error:

"call to DllRegisterServer failed with error 0x80004005" (or obviously DllUnRegisterServer depending on which one I'm doing at the time).

Apparently, this message means "Access Denied".

I am running Vista Home Premium, IE8, AVG Free and ZoneAlarm. Tried turning off ZoneAlarm, but still no joy.

I even tried turning off UAC, but there was no change.

Any ideas?
