system recovery/restore backup
I recently had a computer crash due to virus. I performed a system recovery and during the recovery I backed up many files,progrms, etc. (it took 5 dvd disks). When I ran the recovery, the computer was set up to the original purchase installation. I installed the 5 dvd diks and all I got was a location for the recovery files. My question is: "How do I install any/or all of the items that are now located in the recovery file location in my computer?" If these items cdannot be installed, then why bother to back them up? I have Windows Vista Home Premium with all service packs.
