Re: SCANToPC MFC application bugger
I always got "Scan ToPc MFC has stopped working" error message at random times.
Situation: 2 networked PC's, one Vista, one Win7. For unknown reasons I would get the message, "Scan ToPc MFC has stopped working" on either PC. That PC could still print, but the Samsung 3175fn no longer even offered that destination in the scan options. No amount of re-booting equipment would re-instate the PC. Then when the 2nd PC would get the message at some other time, the USB option was the only option on the lcd.
I devised a work around to get them both reinstated by the scan function. On each networked PC, Start> All Programs> Samsung CLX3170 Series> Maintenance -leave default Repair button indicated> After port search leave the default “Local or TCP/IP Port” indicated, but reinstate network port by clicking on it.
I have had to do this a few times, it's a pain, but at least I get all scanning functions back to my networked PC's
