Costly upgrades could be a thing of the past!

Looking for anyone who can share an experience with a graphics upgrades.I purchased my first computer and inexperience got me a graphics subscore of 2.7 which describes the speed that I need to improve.Has anyone upgraded their graphics card and was pleased with any improvement?I could use a hint In the right direction. Thanks for any input!

Give me your system Specifications. I'm about to get a new card too the ATI 5850. Costs around about $350 AUD but it pretty much beats the top end Nvidia cards from the GTX 260-280. It is a great performance card and if you want an upgrade I suggest you get this one. Be sure to also measure your case and you'll need 9.5 inches or 24.13cm of room for the card. Make sure you have at least a 500W Power Supply as well. This card is actually worth for what your playing for. You'd pay more than $430 for an Nvidia 285 that doesnt perform nearly as good as the 5850. Btw, give me your Motherboard specifications as well. Very important to have a PCI-E X16 slot for the card.
