Post Servicepack 2 Problems

I am frustrated and need help please..I upgraded to serv.pk.2 and now my laptop does not recognize network adapter. I have a home network setup so also my pc now during during video stops working "IE not working properly" I tried everything my knowledge base supports, please help me rectify this matter.thanks!
