I have recently purchased a game on PC, The Elder Scrolls Oblivion IV. I have experienced major issues with the 2006 made game. To state the extent of the problems is that it has currently crashed over 205 times in a 5 week period. My specs are: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13GHz 2.13GHz
3.00GB RAM
32-bit Operating System Windows Vista Home Premium
ATI Radeon HD 4670 512mb
I have tried running it in administrator mode and all computability modes but nothing has worked. I downloaded the latest patch 1.2 and but still no changes. The game is pure with no mods and I am not experiencing any lagging problems. I get a smooth frame rate of 40-67FPS but it will still crash at really high and smooth frames which is odd. What should I do?
By the way, I also have Need For Speed Shift and it is known for running at very low fraps. However NFS Shift, despite it being an advanced graphical game has not crashed on my computer once. So.. how is it that an advanced 2009 game doesn't crash, and yet a 2006 not so advanced game(Oblivion) crashes. Thanks, I hope someone can help me.
By the way these are the problem details, I hope this would further help:
